Toronto, Here I AM.

As you may know, recently I’ve been going through some pretty big (and awesome) life changes these last two weeks.

I’ve left my awesome job at the Epilepsy Support Centre. I packed up everything I own and moved to Toronto (my first time moving out on my own). And now, as I am typing this blog post, I am sitting in an open studio at my new school, the Ontario College of Art and Design. That’s right, I’ve finally started towards my life as a big Toronto Graphic Designer; or so I hope.

It probably goes without saying, but I will have less time to do personal things like my blog. HOWEVER, that does not mean I am going to stop, or even slow down, if I can help it. I want to completely submerge myself in the life of a designer.

I’ve got a few things in the pipes right now. First, I am going to do more artist profiles (maybe even nab a OCAD student or two!). This isn’t really new, but I want to keep it up. Next, I’m going to start doing photo posts. These will be posts that have just some of my recent shots, with no random banter or the like. I figure this way I can put up more artwork and you can all enjoy it without having to sift through my writing. Next up, and possibly my biggest and most important task, is my new person identity. My blog design is the start of it, and all I will say is that it involves contemporary media, and a few really bold design elements.

Toronto, watch out, here I come!

P.S. Here’s a list of things to come in the  next little bit:

  • Graffiti/Installation Artist’s Profile (My Drawing prof!)
  • Guest Post from a young design-hopeful
  • A short story
  • A Plethora of my own works creeping online.
